Be You-tiful Card - Echo Park Just Be You Collection

Hi there everyone! Today I wanted  to share with you a cute card using the adorable Just Be You collection. This seriously is the cutest line full of on trend icons and lovely uplifting sayings. The colors are bright and bold and were so fun to use.
I love adding lots of different shapes and textures to my cards. The circle background was cut from some navy solid paper using my Silhouette. I love the dimension that it gives. I also used a die cut tag from the Rounded Tag Die Cut set and tied  it up with a pretty little aqua bow.
I have always loved this sentiment - so encouraging! I am looking forward to sending this card to one of my very best friends to remind her how beautiful she is. I cut this from the 3x4 Journaling Sheet.
The Element Sticker Sheet is full of beautiful icons like this flower cluster. I added the sticker to the corner of the journaling card using some foam dimensional squares for some interest. I also added some sparkly rhinestone jewel here and there on the card. Beautiful girls need their bling right?
This sentiment is part of the Ephemera Pack and I thought it was a great way to finish off the card. I added it to the bottom of the journaling card.
Thanks for stopping by today! If you have special girls in your life who need a little reminder of how amazing they are - this collection is just what you need to let them know just that! If you would like to make this card for your own - stop on by the Echo Park site where you can download a PDF version of my instructions - it can be found here.
 Happy Crafting !

This is one of those special moments and I wanted to record my memory of this day.
I used the following products for my layout:

Valentines Day Countdown with Carta Bella's Flora No. 1

Hi there everyone!  I am so excited to be able to share with you my project today. Valentine's Day has always been a favorite of mine - mostly because of all the yummy chocolate that is completely legal and encouraged to eat. I wanted to celebrate this holiday in a fun way so I made this Countdown to Valentines Day project. I was inspired by this adorable project I found on Pinterest and decided to make my own version. Thanks Allison!

I created this project using an 8 1/4 x 10 1/4 inch piece of chipboard and 14 square boxes that I cut out with my Silhouette. I used this file for the boxes 3D Scallop Trim Box and then discarded the scallop pieces. I placed a piece of Kraft Gold Foil Dot paper on the chipboard and then glued the 14 boxes around the outside edge of the chipboard.
Then the fun part - I decorated each box with pieces of pattern paper from the Flora No. 1 6x6 paper pad and used various punches, stickers, pearls and embellishments to finish them off. I also used a few pieces of Ephemera from the Ephemera kit. I added a few different number stickers to the boxes to make up the countdown part of the boxes.

I also added a banner in the center of the boxes using some banner shapes cut from my Silhouette, a gold heart punch out and some black letter stickers from the Flora No. 1 sticker sheet. I threaded my banner on some white and gold bakers twine.

Here are some close ups of the boxes closed and then opened with the yummy chocolates on the inside.

It would also be really fun to add some little trinkets or small toys or gifts in the boxes as well. But I am a sucker for anything chocolate so that is what I chose. Thanks so much for stopping by the blog today! I hope I have inspired you to create this fun countdown for your favorite sweetheart! Happy Crafting friends!

Spring Things Collection: Spring Banner by Tya

Hello Doodlebug fans! Happy Saturday! It's Tya and  I am here on the blog today sharing with you my project featuring the adorable new Spring Things Collection. I got a few new home decor tables for Christmas and I cannot wait to decorate for the seasons so I decided to make a bright, spring themed banner that I placed on a piece of pallet to place on my table. Here is what I came up with:

I used my Silhouette Cameo to make the banner shapes and labels. I also used one of the new Spring Things Spring word cut file to make my title. I used the awesome Print and Cut feature to make the letters. I loved using that technique because my colors were spot on and match perfectly with the collection and I loved that it is the same font as well. Here are the individual letters close up:

As you can see, I used a variety of products to make my banner. I used the Odds and Ends, the Icon Sticker Sheet, the Mini Icons Stickers, Froggy and Hello Sunshine Doodlepops, Pastel Posies Shape Sprinkles, So Tweet Shape Sprinkles, Matte Sprinkles, Bakers Twine, Boutique Buttons and the This and That Sticker Sheet for the word strips.
After I got done decorating the banner shapes, I strung a piece of Swimming Pool Chunky Twine through the banner and then tied two bows to the ends. I also added the "beautiful" die cut piece from the Odds and Ends and added 2 more yellow matte sprinkles to the top of the pallet.
Thank you so much for stopping by the blog today - I hope I have innspired you to create this cute banner to add a little spring decor to your space. Happy Crafting!

Carta Bella Flora No. 1 Gift Set

Hello Echo Park fans-I am up on my blog today sharing with you my project featuring the beautiful Flora No. 1 line from Carta Bella. It was such a joy to work with such a feminine and floral line. I created a gift set showcasing the papers,, stickers and some of my favorite ephemera pieces. In my gift set I created a box to hold a bottle of lotion, a hexagon shaped box to hold some jewelry and a gift card holder. I used cut files and my Silhouette Cameo to make the set.

First up is the Lotion Box. I used the 3D Rectangle Decorative Gift Box cut file for my box. In order to make the gift set look uniform I used the same pattern papers throughout the set. I cut the box from some Kraft Cardstock and then decorated the sides with the floral paper. I used the lovely purple pattern paper for the tag and the "Hello Lovely" tag is a sticker from the Sticker Sheet. The pink banners are from the Ephemera pack.

I decorated the tag with some thin gold floss and little adhesive pearls.
Next up I made a gift card holder. I used the Quatrefoil Gift Card holder cut file. I loved the pop of floral paper behind the quatrefoil shape. So pretty!
I added my own belly band to the card to keep it shut tight. I added a flower label from the Ephemera pack and attached the "sweet" tag sticker to the label with a small gold brad. I added some more gold floss behind the label. The gift card holder is held closed by a pearl brad.

Finally I made a hexagon gift box to hold some jewelry using the Hexagon Box with Lid cut file.
I added a beautiful dimensional flower to the top of the box. I used the 3D Dublin Tea Rose cut file. I love adding some sort of dimensional element to my gifts for an extra special touch. I loved the pretty purple paper as well. I added another pearl brad to the center of the flower.

I used a flower tag from the Ephemera pack and added more gold floss and pearls to the tag. I finished the tag off with a "Hello There" sticker from the Sticker Sheet.
I hope I have inspired you to pick up this stunning collection and create a gift set for someone who deserves something special. Thank you for stopping by today and Happy Crafting!
